Middlebury Indoor Tennis and the Middlebury Union High School Boys Tennis Team competed in their first (and hopefully annual) Community Match on April 8, 2023 at MIT. Teams were competing for the coveted Ignat Cup, honoring MIT founders David and Eleanor Ignat. MIT fielded a men's team to take on the MUHS Tigers as they prepared for today's season opener. There was amazing tennis, good sportsmanship, and an overall fun afternoon for players and spectators. MIT's Community Team prevailed 8-4 and were the winners of the first Ignat Cup - a charmingly repurposed trophy that now resides in the club lobby. Enjoy the scorecards and photos below!
